梵蒂岡在2007年4月16日舉辦了教宗本篤十六世八十大壽慶祝音樂會，這一張影片就是這一場音樂會的實況錄影。教宗本人就是一名古典音樂愛好者，因此他也參與了音樂會曲目的挑選，並且邀請美國小提琴家希拉蕊‧韓,委內瑞拉指揮家杜達梅爾這兩名雖然年輕，但是卻在國際樂界閃閃發光的音樂家擔綱，曲目包括加布里耶利的作品，以及莫札特第三號小提琴協奏曲,德弗乍克第九號交響曲《新世界》這兩首古典樂曲中，非常受到廣大樂迷喜愛的佳作。
