被傳媒一致公認為Edith Piaf唯一接班人，榮獲「亞維儂雲雀」絕美稱號的Mireille Mathieu，榮登法國國民香頌天后地位。橫跨音樂領域寬廣，以其嘹亮且穿透力十足的嗓音，陶醉著每個世代樂迷的心。至今54年歌唱歲月中，曾以9種語言錄製過1200首歌，發行75張錄音室專輯，締造全球超過2億銷售量、5200萬串流量，至今73歲高齡聲勢仍舊不墜，持續問市新作品。2018年發行的專輯《Mes Classiques》，榮登法國古典榜冠軍，攀入法國以及歐洲、亞洲多國其他類型排行榜前10強！
出生於法國亞維儂，從小就熱愛歌唱，於父親的鼓勵下在教堂學習聲樂，因為Edith Piaf的表演而開啟Mireille Mathieu音樂大門，帶著Edith Piaf之歌參加1965年法國電視節目「Tele-Dimanche」演出，即刻在法國本土造成迴響，也逐漸開啟歐陸其他國家知名度，隨後征服美洲、亞洲等地區，曾和已故的國際巨星們Elvis Presley、Dean Martin、Frank Sinatra同台演出！Mireille在80年代就已經受邀到北京演出，成為當時極少數西洋歌手登上大陸舞台的藝人。Mireille說道：「我的歌曲總是歌頌著愛，也是我最愛表達的方式。」
相當保護自己隱私，也很愛家人的Mireille，母親於2016年辭世，推出名為《Cinéma》的作品，Mireille演唱多達40首經典電影配樂，許多也是母親最愛、和母親一起聆聽的回憶。主要以英文和法文演繹，挑選Ennio Morricone、Francis Lai、Michel Legrand、George Gerschwin、Charlie Chaplin、Maurice Jarre、Cole Porter、Burt Bacharach、Vangelis等傳奇大師撰寫的作品！利用古典和流行交織的編曲，將原本的小品集，改成優美細膩、氣勢磅礡等曲調，感受歌謠中的美，搭上Mireille仍舊風情萬種、高亢柔媚嗓音詮釋，點燃這些風靡國際的金曲全新生命力！回顧的電影包括：《007首部曲：皇家夜總會》、《紐約，紐約》、《綠野仙蹤》、《教父》、《妙女郎》、《愛的故事》、《火戰車》、《往日情懷》、《狂沙十萬里》、《花都舞影》…等主/配曲，再次墜入往日的動人情懷中！
