2009年在英國諾丁漢大學 (University Of Nottingham) 的因緣機運，讓女主唱Hannah Reid及吉他手Dan Rothman一拍即合，隨著鍵盤手兼鼓手Dominic 'Dot' Major加入，London Grammar的輪廓逐漸浮現，在曾參與過Coldplay專輯後製工程的新銳製作人Cameron Blackwood操刀，後轉由曾為Paul McCartney、Primal Scream及The Human League等人合作過的Tim Bran和Roy Kerr兩人接力完成專輯製作大任，也終於呈現出首張專輯中London Grammar絲絲入扣的細膩成果。 

隨著2012年底樂團首支正式暖身作品〈Hey Now〉、2013年初迷你專輯《Metal & Dust》和榮登英國獨立榜Top5的首單〈Wasting My Young Years〉，London Grammar不僅成為社群網站、音樂串流網矚目的新興樂團，更因低調謎樣的宣傳效應，率先透過澳洲電台Triple J獲得空前的好評與人氣，成為獨立樂壇極度看好的組合之一；去年受英倫冠軍舞曲兄弟檔Disclosure之邀，為其單曲〈Help Me Lose My Mind〉獻聲，更讓London Grammar觸及更廣泛的樂迷群眾，接連的作品〈Strong〉及翻唱自法國Electro House奇才Kavinsky之作〈Nightcall〉皆陸續獲得英美樂評讚賞，首張作品《如果你願意等待 If You Wait》甫發行，亦獲得包含The Independent、Clash、Drowned In Sound、Consequence Of Sound及NME等多家樂評傳媒近滿分好評，並在2014年 iTunes Music Festival SXSW音樂季上受邀演出。  

在Hannah Reid優雅飄渺的嗓音領軍下，London Grammar展現Ambient電子環繞音效和現代古典樂派兼容的悠遠氣質，媲美Florence Welch、Annie Lennox及Lana Del Rey般的復古底韻，Hannah Reid將破碎的男女私情、未知的人生光景和多愁善感的愛恨情仇，全都譜入歌曲中，在穿梭進入宛如Burial的環繞音場及延續英國Trip-Hop名團Massive Attack和Portishead的迷幻氛圍下，London Grammar隨著靈魂主唱Hannah Reid的情緒轉折，勾勒出憂鬱綿延的感情與暗潮洶湧的低語呢喃，也讓他們被美譽為「結合Jamie XX及Florence Welch光環」，絕非浪得虛名，而London Grammar優雅融冶電子合成，並延伸英倫Trip-Hop的音樂型態，也正如其專輯名稱所遙相呼應，一切等待都將值得。
