Depeche Mode(流行尖端)，1981年在英國Essex創立，超過三十年的音樂生涯，共發行了十三張專輯，團員有Vince Claik、Alan Wilder、Martin Gore、Dave Gahan，以及Andy Fletche。經歷Vince Claik、Alan Wilder的離團之後，DM就以Martin Gore、Dave Gahan，Andy Fletche三人姿態，以工業聲響、電子合成樂、歌德樂派為基礎，成為80-90年代英國電子音樂的原創頂尖團體之一。與New Order的純淨低調的形象對照下，DM確實也是此派同屬路數，像是80年代時期的專輯Speak & Spell (1981)、A Broken Frame (1982)、Construction Time Again (1983)、Some Great Reward (1984)、Black Celebration (1986)、Music for the Masses (1987)幾乎將電子音樂中的冰冷、疏離的特性表現十分出色。進入90年代之後，DM不免俗地向粗躁的搖滾之聲取材，Songs of Faith and Devotion (1993)聽來就顯得粗曠強悍許多。今年Sony Music正式代理DM所有專輯，陸續重發所有DM的作品，相信還未聽過他們的音樂的樂迷，藉這次機會，探訪聆聽這支Q雜誌譽為史上最受歡迎的電子樂團的優質專輯。
