Mythodea was staged for television in a spectacular live concert event on June 28, 2001, in the ancient open-air setting of the Temple of Zeus in Athens and was broadcast nationally on Public Television during December pledge. PBS broadcasts will continue on through March, June and August pledge period. Inspired by mythological sources, the work was chosen as the theme music for the NASA Mission: 2001 Mars Odyssey.
