羅梅洛家族向有「吉他界的皇室」之稱，家族樂團創辦於1960年，由父親塞雷多尼歐帶領三個兒子安傑、賽林和佩佩一同演出，三個小羅梅洛在七歲時都已舉行過獨奏會。雖然是西班牙人，但全家早在1957年為躲避佛朗哥的獨裁政權移民到美國定居。1990年大兒子安傑脫團獨立，改由賽林的兒子賽林諾取代，塞雷多尼歐1996年過世後，則由安傑的兒子里多遞補。

西班牙作曲家羅德瑞格和羅梅洛家族有很深的淵緣，他的「安達魯斯四吉他協奏曲」就是為羅梅洛家族所寫的。而羅德瑞格本人則因為「阿蘭輝茲吉他協奏曲」非常暢銷，1991年由西班牙國王卡洛斯一世將他拔擢為西班牙皇室成員，冊封他阿蘭輝茲花園勳爵。這是一個世襲的爵位，因此他在1999年以九十七高齡過世後，女兒就繼承為阿蘭輝茲花園女爵，而他自己也下葬在阿蘭輝茲墓園中，可見此曲對其生命的影響何等深遠。

羅德瑞格是在1939年創作「阿蘭輝茲吉他協奏曲」， 1954年又寫了「紳士幻想曲」，1966年為雙吉他寫「牧歌協奏曲」、1967年為羅梅洛家族寫了「安達魯斯四吉他協奏曲」，之後在1982年寫「節慶協奏曲」供單把吉他演奏；至於「小夜曲協奏曲」則是1954年寫給西班牙豎琴名家札巴列塔的名曲。
